Typography Campaign to Launch the 51st Grammys

On January 14, 2009 the 51st Annual Grammy Awards launched their ultra cool campaign, titled "Celebrate The Music That Makes Us." The message is music influences and inspires everyone, the delivery is a beautiful example of typography in motion by a Los Angeles based agency, TBWA\Chiat\Day. The campaign involves some portraits of some pretty famous faces including Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Stevie Wonder and the undeniable cool Thom Yorke.

Loaded in a documentary?

Snock 'N Roll: Adventures With Michael Hurley from Marc Israel on Vimeo.

A little while ago I was contacted by a documentary film maker from the States by the name of Marc Israel. He was working on a new project titled "Snock 'N Roll: Adventures With Michael Hurley". He saw a video clip I posted on youtube of some footage I taped at a Cat Power show last summer and wanted to incorporate it into his film. The film focuses on Michael Hurley, an American Folk Singer who's songs have been covered by many artists including Cat Power, Yo La Tango, Violent Femmes, Lucinda Williams and more. The clip is ultra short found about 16 min in. Marc was super nice to talk to, sent me a copy of one of his full length films "NEARER MY GOD TO THEE: Filmmaker encounters John of God & Self" and included me in the credits. I was happy to help out.

The new business cards are in and being handed out like hotcakes!
